How Interwebbi Solutions handles what you give it when you visit this site, use the plug-ins or buy one, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The plug-ins

The plug-ins make two kinds of request, and neither carries anything about your sessions or your audio. Starting a trial, and activating or refreshing a licence, sends a code worked out from the computer, which cannot be turned back into anything about it, and with a licence your licence key, to our licence service, which checks the key with Polar. The update check asks our website whether a newer version exists and sends nothing about you. InterStream sends the audio of its track to the receivers you set it to send to, on your network or beyond, and to no one else.

This website

This site sets no cookies, shows no advertising and uses no one else's trackers. When you download an installer, we add one to a count for that day and version, and store nothing about you with it: not your internet address, browser or device.

To see how the site is used, we count visits with Umami, which runs on our own server in Finland, reached through Cloudflare's network. Its script stores nothing in your browser: no cookies, no local storage. If your browser asks sites not to track you (Do Not Track), it counts nothing at all. Otherwise, when a page opens, it sends our server the page's address and title, the site that linked to it, and your screen size and language. From the request itself, the server works out your browser, operating system, type of device, and country, region and city.

Your internet address itself is never stored. To tell visitors apart, Umami combines it with your browser's identification and a value that changes every month, and keeps only a code made from them, which cannot be turned back into either. So the same visitor is counted afresh each month. We see the results only as totals; they are not shared with anyone and not used for advertising. The basis is our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used; you can object by writing to us.

Cloudflare, which hosts the site, also counts page views with its Web Analytics. Its script stores nothing in your browser either; when a page opens, it sends Cloudflare the page's address, the site that linked to it and how long the page took to load, and Cloudflare works out your browser, operating system, type of device and country from the request.

A plug-in's page and its user guide can show walkthrough videos that are hosted on YouTube. The picture you see before playing comes from this site, and nothing of YouTube's loads until you press play. Pressing play loads YouTube's player from youtube-nocookie.com, and from then on YouTube, run by Google Ireland Limited, receives your internet address and what your browser sends it, and may store data in your browser, under Google's own privacy policy.

Buying

You buy through Polar, the merchant of record, which takes the payment. We never see your card number. From Polar we receive your email address and country, and your name, whether you buy as an individual or a business, a business tax number and your billing address if you gave them, with the order and your licence key. We use them to give you your licence, to support you and to keep the accounts the law requires. The basis is the contract with you and our legal obligations as a business.

Who handles it for us

  • Polar Software, Inc., 3500 South DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901, United States, sells the licence and handles your checkout and payment under its own privacy policy, and may transfer data outside the EU and EEA.
  • Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this site, keeps its data in Cloudflare's EU jurisdiction, carries requests to our statistics server, and counts page views for us with its Web Analytics. Its transfers to the United States rely on the EU to US Data Privacy Framework and the EU standard contractual clauses.

We do not sell or give your details to anyone else.

How long we keep it

  • Accounting records of a purchase: six years from the end of the financial year, as the Finnish Accounting Act requires.
  • Messages to support: 12 months after the last message.
  • Visit statistics: 24 months, then deleted.

Your rights

You can see the personal data we hold about you, have anything wrong corrected, ask us to delete it, restrict how we use it, receive what you gave us in a usable form, and object to processing that rests on our legitimate interest. Write to the address above; we answer within one month. You can also complain to the Data Protection Ombudsman, tietosuoja.fi.
