InterMaster release notes

Every InterMaster version, newest first.

0.3.2

23 October 2026

HIGH reaches further: up to 6 dB either way at full travel, where it stopped at 2.9.

  • The inner half of its travel is as before, and halfway is still the gentle +1.0 dB. Only the outer half goes further.
  • Nothing else changed: LOW, MID, GLUE, the limiter and every other control are as in 0.3.1.
  • Projects and presets open with every knob where you left it. A HIGH set beyond halfway now gives more than it did, so check it on a project that used one.

0.3.1

22 October 2026

An EQ for the mix: three small knobs, LOW, MID and HIGH, over GLUE's meters. The section is now GLUE & EQ.

  • LOW is a shelf at 30 Hz with a dip near 400 Hz, up to 9.8 dB either way. MID is a peak or a dip at 500 Hz, up to 6 dB either way. HIGH is a lift at 12 kHz with a dip near 10 kHz, up to 2.9 dB either way.
  • Each knob is off at its centre and reads 0.0 there. Halfway to the right is a gentle setting (LOW +1.1 dB, MID +3.0, HIGH +1.0), and the rest of the travel goes on to the most it gives. Left mirrors right. Double-click returns a knob to 0.0, and the value under it can be clicked and typed into.
  • The EQ comes before GLUE, so GLUE reacts to it. The input meter reads before the EQ, so turning the knobs does not move it. The EQ adds no latency.
  • GLUE's high band starts 3 dB later, so bright material is held a little less eagerly at the same AMOUNT. Its bracket means the same as before; it is just reached a little later.
  • Projects and presets from earlier versions open with all three knobs at 0.0. Only the high band's later start changes how they sound. 0.3.0 was a test build and was not published.

0.2.5

22 October 2026

The footer shows InterMaster's own logo. The interwebbi.com logo at the foot of the panel is now InterMaster's lockup: the Interwebbi plug-ins' knob mark and the name beside it.

  • Nothing you hear changed: no control, no default and no sound is different, and your projects and presets open as before.

0.2.4

21 October 2026

GLUE's high band now tames a bright top end. Driven hard enough to keep the high band's meter in its bracket, 0.2.1 let a mix turn too bright, and boosting the air before InterMaster barely reached the high band at all.

  • The high band listens to the air. Its detector hears 8 kHz and up about 12 dB louder than the rest of the band, so a bright top end pulls the band down where presence around 3 to 5 kHz alone pulls less. Only what the band listens to has changed; the audio itself is not filtered.
  • The high band starts 7 dB earlier, at every AMOUNT, with its ratios and timing as before.
  • Together, at AMOUNT 100% a bright mix settles in the high band's 1 to 3 dB bracket and an ordinary one is touched only on its peaks. The low and mid bands, WIDTH and LIMITER are as in 0.2.1.
  • 0.2.2 and 0.2.3 were test builds and were not published.

0.2.1

21 October 2026

The first release of InterMaster: glue and density for a whole mix, at zero latency. For the live PA mix, the stream mix and the studio mix bus.

  • IN: GAIN, -24 to +24 dB, and the input meter after it, RMS with the peak above it. Its bracket shows where to land the input: where GLUE works best at the current AMOUNT, about -21 to -9 dB RMS at 100%. It moves as AMOUNT turns.
  • GLUE: AMOUNT, 0 to 200%, 100% the starting point, one knob that pulls the mix together and fills it out, with three meters, each with its bracket. At 0% it passes the input untouched.
  • WIDTH: set by AMOUNT, with its ACTIVE switch and meters for how far it opens the mix up. It changes nothing in mono.
  • LIMITER: the same limiter as InterSilica's, with THRESHOLD, CEILING and the lock between them, TRUE PEAK and LOOKAHEAD, its gain reduction and the output meter. CEILING sets the output level; there is no OUT knob.
  • Zero latency, unless LOOKAHEAD or TRUE PEAK is on (1.5 ms, 72 samples at 48 kHz), which the footer shows in amber. The values under the knobs can be clicked and typed into.
  • VST3 and Audio Unit on macOS, Apple silicon and Intel, and VST3 on Windows x64. Mono and stereo.
  • It works fully for 14 days from the first time it runs on a computer, with no key. After that its output is silent until a licence key is activated. A key works on two computers, and a Suite key covers InterMaster as well, every Suite key already sold included.
