InterSilica release notes

Every InterSilica version, newest first.

0.4.11

22 October 2026

The footer shows InterSilica's own logo. The interwebbi.com logo at the foot of the panel is now InterSilica's lockup: the Interwebbi plug-ins' knob mark and the name beside it.

  • Nothing you hear changed: no control, no default and no sound is different, and your projects and presets open as before.

0.4.10

21 October 2026

A tighter panel, with LIMITER laid out as InterMaster has it.

  • The window is 880 x 628, 24 points shorter. The meters no longer hold the bottom open, and the space under the controls and under the footer is the same as at the sides.
  • TRUE PEAK and LOOKAHEAD sit on the node chips' line, at the same height as them, with "held by TRUE PEAK" above LOOKAHEAD.
  • THRESHOLD and CEILING are centred over their buttons.
  • Nothing you hear changed: no control, no default and no sound is different. A project saved with the old window size opens at the new one.

0.4.9

20 October 2026

The same InterSilica, rebuilt on code it now shares with the rest of the family.

  • WIDTH and LIMITER now live in code shared across the Interwebbi plug-ins, so InterMaster's behave exactly as InterSilica's do. No control, no default and no sound is different.
  • Before the release, the same audio went through 0.4.8 and 0.4.9 at every LIMITER mode and WIDTH setting, at 44.1, 48 and 96 kHz, on Apple silicon and Intel. All 504 renders came out identical to the last bit.

0.4.8

19 October 2026

Values you can type, a tidier node row, a trial you cannot miss, and a new version shown the same day.

  • The value under each knob and the selected node's frequency, height, Q and depth in SMOOTHER's header row can be typed. The unit is optional, a comma works as a decimal point, and 2.5k means 2.5 kHz. With THRESHOLD and CEILING locked, typing one moves both.
  • SMOOTHER's header row is just the node: its - and + for the Q, and its ON or OFF, are gone. Type the Q, use the wheel over the node or its right-click card, and switch a node on or off with its chip.
  • While the trial runs, the first plug-in window you open each day, of InterSilica or any other Interwebbi plug-in, shows a card with the days left, and buttons to buy a licence, enter a key or continue the trial. Once the trial has ended the card stays, without the button to continue. A licensed copy never shows it.
  • InterSilica now looks for a new version whenever you load a project that has it, or insert it on a track: at most once in ten minutes, for every Interwebbi plug-in on the computer together. A project with forty instances still asks only once.
  • As before it only shows the orange chip in the header, and never installs anything. The menu item that turns it off is now called Check for updates.
  • Projects and presets are safe: no parameter changed and the sound is identical to 0.4.5.

0.4.5

18 October 2026

The first release of InterSilica. Shave the harshness. Seal the ceiling.

  • Three stages in series, each with its own ACTIVE switch: SMOOTHER takes the harshness out of a source, WIDTH sets the stereo width with one knob, and LIMITER holds the output under a ceiling. A stage that is off costs no CPU.
  • Zero latency with the default settings, and that is what the host is told. LIMITER's LOOKAHEAD, which you have to turn on, adds 1.5 ms and reports it to the host. TRUE PEAK turns LOOKAHEAD on.
  • SMOOTHER finds the frequencies that stand out above the music's own level, moment to moment, and turns down only those, by up to 20 dB each. DEPTH, DETAIL, ATTACK, RELEASE, six nodes and DELTA to hear what it takes.
  • WIDTH: one knob from mono to wide, with AUTO, STEREO or MONO, and on a mono source it builds a stereo image. Nothing is lost in a mono fold-down, and what it adds stays out of the bass below 120 Hz.
  • LIMITER: THRESHOLD and CEILING from −30 to 0 dB with a lock between them, and automatic release. At zero latency a short gain dip catches the peaks, so nothing is clipped. Its gain reduction also shows in the host's meters.
  • Mono, stereo, and mono in to stereo out.
  • It works fully for 14 days from the first time it runs on a computer, with no key. After that its output is silent until a licence key is activated. A key works on two computers, and a Suite key covers InterSilica as well.
  • Activate before a show, not during one: when the trial ends the output goes silent at that moment, even in a running session. Install one copy only; the footer shows which version loaded.
